A Riftbound card scanner that reads the printing, not just the name
Point the camera at a card. Mejai’s reads the name and the collector number with on-device text recognition and files the exact printing in your collection, matched against a catalogue of 1,487 Riftbound printings. Recognition runs on your phone; photos are never uploaded.
Why the collector number matters
Riftbound reuses names constantly. An alt art shares its name with the base card and adds a letter (066a). Signature printings add a star. Runes run on their own R numbering, Vendetta added an SP subset, and double-faced token cards are numbered by both faces. Read only the digits and SP3 collapses into 003, a different card entirely. The scanner knows every numbering shape the game has printed so far, so the card it files is the card you are holding.
Two ways to work through a pile
Auto is point and go: hold the phone over the cards and confident reads land by themselves. Manual adds a shutter with a background queue, so you can shoot a stack as fast as you can press while the reads catch up. A read that falls short of the confidence bar gets flagged with a question mark and a confirm prompt instead of a silent guess.
After the read
Tap any card on the session strip to flip its finish to foil, set how many identical copies the scan stands for, swap it for a different card, or drop it. Scans can go straight into your collection, into a binder or onto your wishlist.
